Bella Poarch
Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on February 9, 1997 to her biological Filipino parents. Her grandmother was living in slums with her biological parents until the age of 3. She was then adopted. Both of her adoptive parents are Filipinas, and her white American adopted dad is military experience. She says she and her adopted brother suffered abuse from the time she was young up until the time she enlisted. The family lived with her uncle at San Francisco for several months before moving back to Texas to celebrate her 13th birthday because of the necessity for her father to undergo bypass surgery. Her father did not stop the psychological abuse, even though she says that physical violence had diminished. Poarch joined in the United States Navy at age 18. Poarch started her TikTok in April of 2020 rapidly gaining fame. Poarch accumulated over 40 million followers within less than eight months. The biggest hit was the music video she created for the hit Millie B song Soph Aspin Send. This became one of TikTok's most watched videos. The clip zoomed in to show her dancing rhythmically, while lip-syncing to the track became viral. In order to capitalize on the popularity gained since joining TikTok in December of 2016, Poarch created YouTube as well as Twitter profiles. The adulation of Poarch's growing fame reached its peak during the month of December. Two major Esports professional clubs were reported to be intrigued by her. FaZe Clan and 100 Thieves expressed an interest to hire her as a content creator under their respective brands.
