Catherine Ford is a British actress, born in Bloomsbury. When her father's departure from her household, the actress was brought to maturity by her mother, godparents, and grandmother. When she was a girl, Ford was battling anxious disorders, obsessive/compulsive and was afflicted by the word association. Ford was first fascinated by acting when she was a teenager and joined the National Youth Theatre. She gained admission to the Sylvia Young Theatre School, but after just a few days, decided that she wasn't a good fit there. Ford returned for admission to the Central School of Speech and Drama and on her fourth attempt she was accepted. Shaun Dingwall would play Pete Tyler as a regular character on Doctor Who. Ford didn't finish her studies in 1993. In 1991, however, Ford had made her debut on television in an episode of Surgical Spirit. At that point, Ford adopted the stage name Catherine Tate. Tate appeared on TV in the Nineties in shows like The Bill and Men Behaving Badly. Tate was a regular performer on stage, and joined The Royal Shakespeare Company's season 2000-2001. Tate was first noticed because of her stand-up comedic performances in the year 1996.
