Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980. She's an American singer and actress. Her birthplace and childhood was in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is Nurse and Tom Bell, a television news director. She has Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen discovered her talents in entertainment as a young stage of her life. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent prior to her turning thirteen, and she was cast in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. In addition to having private lessons and acting lessons, she started her career at that time. Bell made an appearance in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 as an uncredited actor. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she took part in musical and drama club. Bell was cast as Dorothy in the school production that was The Wizard of Oz. Bell then moved in New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student there. Bell left the university in 2001 to take on the character of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she was the first to make her credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however the film cut her character from the film and her appearance was only in the credits. The year 2002 saw her first major role. Bell was in her first Broadway version of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
