Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden, born August 14, 1959 in La Jolla (California), was the third of five. Beverly Bushfield is her mother, worked as a housewife and her husband Thad Harold Harden was serving in the military. Her first interest for theatre during her time together with family members in Greece and going to plays in Athens. Harden began her university education in American universities in Europe but returned to the US to complete her study in the University of Texas in 1983 followed by an MFA from NYU followed by a stint at NYU where she began her career as an actor. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers comedy that cleverly paid homage of the 1990 gangster film, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden had appeared in movies as early as 1986 (in the less-known The Imagemaker), she performed a romantic femme fatale as part of her first mainstream performance. Harden got a positive review for her performance in the movie, which was sexy and raunchy as Verna who was a seductive and difficult-to-control woman. Harden continued to work in support role. Her role was Ava Gardner, a TV biopic on Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
